spay and neuter clinic
Low-Cost pet spay and neuter clinic coming in March 2026
If you're trying to make ends meet and cannot squeeze a spay or neuter into your budget, we're here to help. The Audrain Humane Society is sponsoring a community spay/neuter clinic for low-income residents of Audrain County. Just $20 per pet.
- Both cats and dogs are welcome.
- Kittens and puppies must be at least 8 weeks old.
- Open to Audrain County residents only.
- Proof of radies required, but don't fret! If your pet is not up to date on rabies vaccinations, a rabies vaccine will be provided at the time of spaying or neutering at no charge to you.
- Act soon, space is limited. The program begins March 20, 2026, and will continue until funds run out.
Why spay and neuter?
- Lowers the risk of certain cancers.
- It can help with some unwanted behavior such as spraying, roaming, and aggression.
- Increases your pet's lifespan by up to 3 years.
- Prevents accidental litters and helps reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens.
